Thanks, to the people with knowledge, for posting information or updates! I know that many of us followed James journey from his hospital stay on the Isle of Man then returning to the states as it unfolded 3 years ago! We were all pulling for him to have a full recovery, but sadly that isn't always in the cards for such an injury.

I hope that he continues to make gains in his recovery!

Members of the SFMC visit him regularly at Laguna Honda Hospital in San Francisco. His father comes and visits also ...

I'll try to get a recent update on James at the next SFMC meeting ... I'll let the folks at the SFMC know that James is being thought of by his old friends ...

Good to hear you guys are visiting him John. Props to the SFMC members.

I remember him well. His crash was a gut punch to many friends and I am sure his family.

Great to hear friends are visiting him. I met James when I was shopping at Helimot and figured him for another sales guy. After making so many visits I realized he was really more of an advocate for Helimot than a sales guy. Hope he's doing well and I think of his license plate many times through the years.

DUDEWTF!

stumbled on to this thread.....
I remember going into Helimot years ago and buying gloves. Great guy to do business with. Then I went in there to buy some Daytona boots. Dude dialed me in. I'm wearing them now at work as we speak.
Press on, James

I'd love to know how James is doing! I didn't know him that well, but the times I saw him at Helimot made a real impression on me. Great guy and super helpful, especially in those years when I was first getting into motorcycling and track riding. I still think about James regularly and wonder how he's doing...

awsome pic!

so went to the regular Thursday night meeting at the SFMC last night, and the update is James' father comes from AZ regularly to visit in Laguna Honda and the SFMC gets to Laguna Honda around twice a month (mostly Casey and Lionel). Casey and Lionel are on the board of the fund that pays his bills and they meet quarterly ... both those gentleman were instrumental in helping James get his affairs in order when he returned from the Isle of Man, along with many other of his friends, as well as SFMC members ...

Over the last couple of years his long-term memory has improved a bit, and his ability to access old memories, and otherwise stable in his overall recovery and condition ...

Visitors to Laguna Honda are encouraged.

the fact that he was a San Francisco resident and eligible for Laguna Honda on that basis has been a blessing, as have his family and his old friends ...

thanks for bumping this thread and thanks for keeping James in your thoughts and prayers ...

"There but for the grace of God, go you or I."

James' friends and family have already earned a place in Heaven.

Wow.
This thread is sweet and rough at the same time.
