Affordable Moto Insurance

I apologize in advance to anyone who finds this thread repetitive or random. I was out of the country for an extended period of time and my insurance lapsed. My former carrier was so no responsive I'm looking for another insurance company.

Anyone have any referrals for moto insurance? Thanks in advance.

If you already have someone for car make sure to check with them too.

Allstate gives me a great deal because I have the whole thing bundled.
Car, home, bikes.

I had them since I was 22. My allstate dude was a rider and AMA member. When I had 4 bikes insured it was same as 1. Always super fair.

Was Katrina the girl in the commercials??

I use Erich Stiegler and he's great. Excellent service, fantastic knowledge of his products, Hell of a rider and loves everything about bikes and cars and racing.

Call Carol or Jim at Fern Insurance. They are independent agents for Progressive. I've been using them for my motorcycles for over 25 years. Can say enough about how friendly and professional they are.

Ya gotta shop. Been with Farmer's for 30 years for cars, property and umbrella yet I ended up with Progressive after shopping (Allstate, Geico, Farmer's and a few others). I got the quote through AAA as they do moto insurance via Progressive as a courtesy to members. Oddly my 70cc '82 scooter costs more than my 400cc '90 bike

Oh and they fully insure my NSR250R. Previous owner had it insured with Progressive as an off road bike. Since the VIN didn't parse for me she looked up a photo on google and said "I don't think that's an off road bike." I told her it was an uncommon bike. They insured anyways though not for a fixed amount. Replacement cost only so if the time comes I'll have to provide my own market research.

*EDIT* YMMV I'm in my 50s and have older bikes. *EDIT*

AAA Premiere is worth considering for added insurance (roadside assistance, moto towing, lock outs, etc. for all your vehicles).

Hagerty can be a good choice for weird/vintage bikes like that. They do agreed value policies and have been really cheap for my vintage stuff. Downside, is you must have a garage, other vehicles to use daily and they allow a maximum of 5,000 miles a year.

I have $27K agreed values worth of bikes insured by them for $450 a year with zero deductible.
