Good price and decent quality are appreciated
We've had good luck on the Costco Wavestorms for learning. You can get them used for around 60 bucks and they are only 99 new from
Costco.

They don't turn we'll but will help you get the mechanics of catching waves & standing up and from there the skies the limit.

Shootz! just saw this, how did I miss someone asking about surfing?
brah, hit me up when ya wanna go. Lowtide and slow days of course, coz the braddah's out there will kill ya if it's pumpin. Hopefully by now you been surfing since 2005 when you posted this. being a good swimmer will help only if you surf outer breaks. good swimmer meaning, a good waterman (holding yer breathe, swim out of rips, etc..). hit me up and we'll go to Eastside SC.

We have some extras, you're more than welcome to take out and see if it's your thing. Just let me know if you're in the Carmel/Monterey area.

Also local surf shop On The Beach in Monterey is selling their rental suits from last year for 49-59 bucks. If you need a suit or something let me know the size and I will check if they have it & ship it for you

Awesome!

I sold my wetsuit before I left . I got a pretty good deal on one ($80 new) on whiskeymilitia.com 2 years ago so I'll see if I can snag one there, if not I'll let you know.

I think I'll be in the area in August and will PM you for a lesson

Anybody still surfing? This has been an insane killer season with hardly any breaks. I suck really and can't take these big drops. I will still go out to build strength, stamina, and hope to grow some big ones like those in the line-up. Just have to check out the photos on surfline to confirm. Damn, what a season!

Barrel type days like this have to be now over a dozen for Ocean Beach. A record number of spare the air days have meant straight days of offshore winds, mild temps, and barrels left and right. Am i dreaming?

I picked up a wetsuit a while ago and started playing around with my bodyboard again... Ocean Beach is quite a change of scenery from Honolii and Pohoiki, but just as fun as ever was. Was out on Thanksgiving morning, 12-15+, biggest I'd ever been in, and had a blast. Heading out for a bit tomorrow morning 1130ish, looks like a nice fun day for some f'n around...
