I've now contacted both Live105 and the moto dealer separately. When I wrote the Yammy dealer I made it clear and was honest, I'm not boycotting them, I'm not a "lost customer", I'm just a fellow rider that was offended by the host's comments and that as a sponsor they ought to be concerned if nothing else with their commercial being aired after such statements, at most they ought to be offended as riders.

I for one was ready for a morning break from Stern (sorry, I'm a long-time Howard fan but had my fill of him as of late...), then the Co-Op turd hits the air and now this... tsk tsk

Note that this is especially frustrating today as I in fact had a cager swerve at, then tailgate me just this morning until I was able to scoot away from him. Hmph.

The radio station should get all of the complaints.

The dealer should simply be notified about the radio station's stupidity. Be nice to the dealer. The dealer didn't do anything wrong by advertising there. As a matter of fact, probably the dealer (based on their advertising dollars) can have a much better impact on taking action against the radio station than our phone calls and emails will. Unfortunately, money talks the strongest.

Done>I understand that you are trying to be controversial, which is easy to do out of ignorance, and try to get your radio station, or your program, or yourselves, promotion and greater income, but at the cost of hurting others is disrespectfull of others. Get rid of your ignorance and learn how to ride a motorcycle. Then you'll have something to talk about.

Anyone called The Chronic yet?

How about The Wave? I'm sure they'd do a GREAT piss-take of Live 105...

We could always call other local advertisers on that radio station and let them know what kind of junk is being aired alongside their ads, and how it could have a negative impact for the advertiser.

I just called the radio station and left a message on the promotion manager's voicemail.

Thats a great idea. I don't have any radio reception when I'm at work. Can someone listen to thier show tomorrow and make a list of thier advertisers? Pretty please.

i sent emails to both 105.3's contact page and the dealer.

neither of the emails were harsh because i'm sure they've received quite a few already, but needed to make sure i sent them both an email for what it's worth.

This is what I sent them:

"Having had angry people open doors, swerve, or throw things on me while riding in traffic your comments were irresponsible at the least. Lanesplitting is legal and recommended by the CHP for safety reasons, for all riders including their officers. All I can say is thank God for XM & Sirius, as I pay dearly not to have to listen to morons like the DJ's you have on the air.

BTW, they (the DJ's) can be replaced with a $200 iPOD that actually plays music, and it doesn't require health benefits.... Think about it!"

Not too harsh, is it?

I heard FearNoFish plug BARF on the show. At this point the DJ was trying to backpeddle and make it sound like what he said wasn't that bad, or was just a joke (as if that matters), implying that we are being too sensitive or something.

Then he told FearNoFish to go back to his "little" forum and tell BARF they are pro-moto. Little forum? It was very condescending in tone and made it sould like BARF is a nonentity, or trivial. They need to hear it from us, not just today, but for the next few weeks.
