1998 Yamaha R1, 21 years, still have it.
I have a 1994 CB1000F that I have owned since 2004. Still use it for commuting, touring, canyon dancing.

Been riding 15 years. I've really slowed down in the last few years, since I bought the SuperDuke, and started focusing on building bikes.

Currently only have the 5, which will likely change soon as I buy another Ducati for an aircooled Superbike build, and swap the 450 for something smaller.

Longest owned bike is the XR at this point, I think. Might have owned my first ZX-6E for longer, but hard to remember.

Amusingly, you can see that I've listed 36 for sale threads on BARF over the years, oftentimes with multiple bikes in a single thread.

Oh, and this doesn't include any of the projects, which I consider more...transitory.

The best performance upgrade is upgrading the operating system of the operator. It is cheap, easy, fast, safe and works on every bike you will ever ride.

1983 RZ250R, Bought it wrecked in 1986 to use for parts on my RZ350 race bike. Ended up getting the frame straightened and installed FZR wheels and front end to replace the bent stock parts. Still have it. Still runs. Just had Brian Turfrey build a custom set of chambers for it. I also have a complete set of NOS 250 specific bodywork (red/black) still in boxes waiting to replace the temporary 350 bodywork.

I don't blame them. If mine were not in a burglar alarmed garage I probably would not post them either.

To Enchanters data point: My oldest is the '97 TL1000s owned 22 years.

Close to 90, or so since 1967. I have a list someplace, but I gave up caring about a lot of them so their memory fades.

Haven't read the whole thread, but I think you win.

If there's any cool bikes from the past that you have pics of, post 'em--or just list a few highlights.

I don't have photos of much from before digital photography. And if I did I'd have to find 'em and scan to share. The car I traded for my 1st bike (the only bike I had before digital photography) might be more interesting than the bike, but I don't have photos of either.

Been riding for almost 20 years...omg, I just realized that...and think my bike lust has begun to wind down. Here’s my past bikes list:

2001 Honda F4i
2001 Ducati 996 Mono
2003 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6rr
2005 Ducati 749S
2005 Honda RC51
2008 Yamaha R1
2005 Ducati 999R
2004 Suzuki GSXR 1000
2004 Honda CBR 954rr
2008 Aprilia RSVR Factory
2012 Ducati Panigale 1199S
2013 Aprilia Dorsoduro DD750
2003 Suzuki SV650 Track Bike
2008 Yamaha R6 Track Bike
2004 BMW R1100S Boxer Cup Replika
2002 MV Agusta F4S Evo2
2017 Yamaha R6

And currently in the garage...

2013 Ducati Panigale 1199R
2015 Ducati Monster 1200S
2017 Honda CBR1000rr SP
2017 Yamaha R1M
2015 KTM RC390 Cup...I’m an acting guardian for this one.

Monster is my primary street bike, and all others are used for track days. And thinking about new bikes, I’m sorta wanting the V4R, 1100 Factory, SMC-R, and/or a Hyper SP. Though I also keep teasing the thought of a track only supermoto of some kind too. And a Grom...as a pit bike.

Fun stuff!

PS...the ‘oldest’ bike I have right now is the Monster, owned it since new for the past 4 years. But my nostalgia bike - meaning I want another one - is the 996. And my favorite bike is currently the R1M...it’s so easy (and most affordably) to go fast on it!

Didn't count but took the time to list them all? Okay. It's not a size discussion in here, it's people being curious as to what we've all owned.

I still remember the first time I talked to you. Spring of 00' I think. At Alices. You had a helmet painted kinda like Eddie from Iron Maiden sitting on the tank of that TL. We had a brief discussion about it. Had no idea you still have that bike.

Still have the helmet too.... on display.

Paint work by Sammy Hagar's son.. Aaron.
Because of that my wife finds value in an old TL.

I find most of the value the hours myself and L8Braker put the bike together after a crash at Laguna totaled it. He actually spent more time than I did. Thanks brother.
