160/60r17 rear tires for trackday use?

I currently have Diablo Rosso Corsa front and rear of my 2002 sv650 in stock sizes 120/60f 160/60r, I have about six track days on them (2=C, 3B, 1A-group just started riding street bikes last fall, been progressing slowly but steadily and not yet crashed it) plus about a thousand miles of road riding before that. (I don't really ride on the road anymore since starting trackdays).

They still have some meat but I'm gonna be in the market soon... Was gonna put a set of Supercorsa's next, but just realized they don't come in that rear size, next thought was Supercorsa front and Rosso Corsa rear.... Reasonable idea of just go with DRC on both ends again? Only a $25 difference in fronts, was planning to get a 70 front instead of 60 either way...

Also open to other brands. Though I have no complaints about what I have at my current skill level... Looking for something similar or stickier, don't want expensive race slicks, longevity isn't a prime concern but I don't wanna have to change them all the time, which also kinda takes the wind out of takeoffs for me as well...

They come in a 160/60... I have some on my SV right now. Could be the website you were looking at doesn't stock that size.

Correct! Revzilla does not show 160 availability on their website.

I will probably buy them from my local shop I just do a lot of surfing for info on zilla.

Thank You!

Chris had some 160/60 Supercorsa rears last couple races/trackdays I've been to. Significantly cheaper than the list price on that cttire link too

I used to get Dunlop GPAs in that size from Race Tire Service http://stores.racetireservice.com/ They have satellite in Reno and will ship tires from there. I believe that is the same person who does tires service at Keigwins days.

Also, if you can't get the Q4s try looking at the Q3+. I was able to get those in 160/60 pretty recently from MotoSport or RevZilla.

The Bridgestone S21 Hypersport tires are a good option. I think their $50/tire rebate is happening now.

Thatís my current setup on my F3, theyíve served well as commuter/canyon tires but Iíd alsp prefer more grip than they offer.

With the amount of track you're doing I'd be tempted to get real race tires, from CT.

Correct. Riding an SV in A group means get race tires.

also, my understanding is that DOT race tires vs slicks are very similar performance in the same compounds, so you can still ride them on the street if you want to.
