Who has had the most bikes?

Ok, the way I see it, it could be what's in your garage right now, that run (or at a specific point in time), or over the course of your riding career. Curious to hear what is the highest number for 1 rider (households of riders, different category).

To keep it clean, let's do a tally for street and track bikes that run*, and one tally for dirt bikes.

I have 6 bikes in my 10 yrs of riding, currently 4 in the garage right now, all run well.

Have at it.

(total bikes) / (total years riding) would be interesting. I bet Stan would win that one.

11 bikes in 13 years for me, 3 at the moment. All street plated.

10 bikes for 10 years riding, 1 currently in the garage.

I have only been riding street since '09 and just bought my 10th bike; only owning more than one at a time when they were on different coasts. I tried to be responsible when I started and went with a bit more boring than I have now but here is my list in purchase order:

1) '08 Suzuki S40-had it about 6 months learned to ride on street, didn't like how small it was.

2) '03 Yamaha Vulcan- had about 2-3 months, learned I don't like my feet forward.

3) '06 Suzuki Weestrom- 2yrs, 12k mi, great bike, too tall.

4) '08 BMW F800ST- 2 yrs, 6k mi, should've kept it

5) '08 Yamaha FJR- 5 months, 2500 mi, too heavy

6) '13 Triumph Tiger 800- 18 months, 4600 mi, should've kept it

7) '06 Honda VFR- 2 years, 8000 miles, two stators, couldn't do more than 4 hours on it without knee pain.

8) ‘10 BMW R1200R- 18 months, 5k, GREAT Bike

9) '01 Suzuki Sv650- 3 months, 600 miles, only bought it for a three month training, fun bike.

10) '16 BMW R1200RS- 4month, 1400 miles --best bike I have ever owned, 40th bday present to myself, in Love!

16 bikes in 53 years. I tend to do one at a time except when I was into dirt bikes.

I have a good friend who just buys and does not sell. He could open a small museum. 30+ bikes 11 are Vincents, an RC51 for daily riding and the rest are 2 stroke grey market bikes. RGB Suzuki's and Yamaha sport bikes. Wish I had his money and large shop.

Currently 5 in the garage. In the last few years or so I've been buying in selling pretty constantly, just checked and 7 bikes were added in the last two ..... eek

I made a list once. The Hodaka counts, but does the Rupp or Bonanza minibikes? I currently have five.

I think my pal Eric has about 20.

How many does budman have?

Riding since 99" but did not have a bike in AZ for 4years. So 16years of riding, 8 street bikes, 2 dirt bikes and one track only bike.
My current dirt bike is played, but I do not use it on the street at all.

6 - 3 non op'd.

I would likely have more if I had more garage space.

About 15 street bikes over my lifetime as a street rider. More of course if you include the dirt years.

BMW r1200gs - 2007
Aprilia Tuono 1000 Factory (again) - 2007

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few. Currently and for the forseable future have the r1200gs and the tuono factory in my garage. They are my absolute favorite bikes to own and do different things. Perfection.

The absolute best bike I've ever owned is the r1200gs (2007). My FAVORITE bike I've ever owned is the 07 Tuono Factory. The attention to detail is just amazing. And the bike with the best motor was the V4 Tuono. The best "street" motor ever made in my opinion is the 990 LC8. The best fit and finish was the Street Glide.
