I've had as many as 13 at one time, but only have 7 in my possession right now. I'm afraid to list them all in one place because it might get me in trouble with the wife. Doesn't really matter though because the perfect number of bikes is: How many that you currently have + 1.

Ak-1 (dual-sport DBC)
AY-1 (90% completed)
Ducati powered DBC
RD400 powered DBC
KDX450 powered DBC
FOSMC II (Ducati powered)

That's just the list of bikes I've built myself (not including several more AK-1 frames that were sold, or still waiting to be built up) .

Back in my 20s I kept track of every motorcycle I had owned. By the time I was 30 the number of bike was in the mid-30s and I lost track of the exact number. I'm now in my 50s and rough guess for number of motorcycles I've owned is in the 100s. Currently about 20+ bikes in the garage (not counting bare frames or frames with engines).

So final answer, I don't know, but a lot!

But does it still run?

'03 FZ1 since new, 16 yrs., rode to work today. '01 Bandit since '04, 15 yrs/113k miles. '02 Bandit in residence only 7 years making it the "new" bike, not counting 2016 Surly Cross Check (human-powered).
