If there's any cool bikes from the past that you have pics of, post 'em--or just list a few highlights.

I don't have photos of much from before digital photography. And if I did I'd have to find 'em and scan to share. The car I traded for my 1st bike (the only bike I had before digital photography) might be more interesting than the bike, but I don't have photos of either.

I always loved this VF1000R, and my '52 Rapide...some honorable mentions,
’59 R50/2, my first moto
’68 BSA T-Bolt
’66 Yamaha Big Bear Scrambler
’78 HODAKA 80
’65 Matchless G50 CSR
’69 Husky400Cross
’67 Norton Atlas
’71 Norton Commando
’74 Norton Commando
’67 BSA Spitfire
’74 Laverda SF
’73 Suzuki GT750 eek!
’67 Triumph Tr-6 chick magnet
’79 Ducati Darma
’82 Suzuki Katana GS100SZ
’85 Honda VF1000R
'98 Honda VTR1000F
’94 BMW R1100RS
’01 Honda CBR 600 F4i
’98 Ducati 916 SPS

Worst bike ever? ’69 Sportster! It ate the gearbox with only 1800 miles on it. The Harley dealer on East 14th in Oakland told me, "Yeah, you are outta luck on that shit, man."
I was out the full cost of that bike. It was 100% junk.

Been riding 25 years and still prefer smaller lighter bikes over the big savage power monsters like the RSV4 1100 I rode at Buttonwillow a few weeks ago. List of bikes in my Signature, but currently around 8 in my stable and over 50 owned total in my brief history of riding. Just added a Versys 650 over the weekend

I think I'm at about 41 or 42 bikes. I know others have had twice as many.

I've tried to count them all up, but I usually forget a few.

8 bikes in 20 years of riding, and the most I had at one time were 3. And this was while living in an apartment in Manhattan so maybe that counts for something? As time goes on I find myself changing bikes less frequently, which I guess means I’m getting better at finding what works for me. Currently I’m at two - ‘09 Multi 1100S and ‘06 DRZ-SM - and I don’t see myself switching those out anytime soon unless something goes wrong with them. The new KTM 690SM sure is tempting but I’ll wait a few years and get a used one for half price
