Oh shit! It's like finding naked pics...good find J!

Man that was a long time ago...I was still on the JS hull (Kawi 550) and that was the longest and roughest race I remember; novice world finals Mod final. I think it was like 5,000 people were trying to qualify all over the country or some ridiculous number. Who knows if true.

That was second to last lap I think...I holeshotted the race and led up until that penultimate lap where I was so tired that the Superjet and the newly released, JS750's caught me. They were heavier and a lot easier to ride in the rough water...but still, I never did much conditioning instead of riding. The guy on the Superjet who makes contact with me was Derek Kapler; some Doctor's kid who was like Data from Star Trek. The other guy on the 750 was a local Havasu kid who was pretty cool...I wish you could hear the commentary in the video too.

Fun fact: that ski I was on came up for sale a few years ago through a friend. I passed on it for a stupid cheap amount. I'm an idiot. I want that thing back...IT was an ex-pro boat sponsored by "Rec World". Everyone used to call it "Rec Your World" cause the thing was a fuggin rocketship. I can't remember anyone beating me to the first buoy after I got that ski, off the start. Got 3rd in the world finals and have the medals on my wall somewhere around here...

Thanks for the memories!

Officials say the Bombardier cars are steadily improving, even if they spend a lot of time in the shop.
Seemed to be an apt description of Sea Doo in the 90's.

On the bright side, at least you won't go out like Payne Stewart on a BART train.

The 21 Golf Ball salute brought to you by Lear Jet...

I had such a dis-like of Sea Doo that when I bought my ZX-9 in 1999 my co-workers pasted my new bike with Sea Doo stickers. (Not surprisingly they peeled off quite easily.)
