Ride to CMSP meeting in Sac with CityBike, October 5th

Join us in a show of rider engagement at the California Motorcycle Safety Program Advisory Committee Meeting at CHP HQ in Sacramento. We'll head out from Starbucks along 80 in Emeryville at 7:30 on October 5th, to make the meeting at 10 AM. Help us show the CMSP how much motorcyclists care about rider safety and how our money is spent!

Event page is on Facebook here. Please RSVP there if you're coming, unless you're not on Facebook—then please post up here.

CHP HQ is at 601 N 7th St, Sacramento, CA 95831. Important: email your contact info to cmsp_unit@chp.ca.gov to RSVP—space for the public is limited.

The usual applies: please arrive early with a full tank and be ready to roll at 7:30 AM. You must be comfortable with extensive lane splitting in heavy traffic to join us on this ride—we'll be heading out of the Bay Area in the middle of commute time to make it to The Sac in time for the meeting.

Update: Unfortunately, CHP has informed us that due to "equipment and logistical issues," they will be unable to provide a dial-in for the meeting as planned—so if you want to hear it live, you'll need to head to Sac for the meeting.

Update 2: I'd asked about video recording since we won't have a dial-in. CHP has officially rejected that as well. So again, the only way to experience this meeting is to be there.

The best performance upgrade is upgrading the operating system of the operator. It is cheap, easy, fast, safe and works on every bike you will ever ride.

I am also a Patent Attorney so if I can help you with any IP matters, please just ask.

Why don't you just meet us at CHP HQ, R6? I don't know what time we'll be coming through Davis—traffic will make our travel time unpredictable. The address is in the original post.

If anyone is coming from Merced or points south or north of Merced, let me know and maybe we can ride up together.

We have 10 "going" and 20-something "interested" on the Facebook event page, which probably equals 8 or so. I know a couple of those "going" are going to be there but probably not riding with us.
