BARFers,

I call upon your collective wisdom - how in the hell do you remove the residue/adhesive from your OHV reg stickers?

in order of most to least nastyness and least to most work: MEK/ acetone/carb cleaner, brake cleaner, paint thinner, gasoline, WD40

Thanks for the tips everyone. I've tried some combination of solvents in the past, but the OHV stickers leave a weird white backing on top of the adhesive residue. I recall this being an issue in the past, but I'll give it a shot.

Gas has always been my go-to for tough adhesive. WD-40 for lighter duty. Just got my stickers too, will be doing the same!

I just stack them on top of the expired ones. Eventually the old shit falls off. Repeat.

I seem to keep my bikes for decades so this is applicable.
Along those lines, surely one of you wants my 2000 KTM 250 MXC... in da classfieds.

Stacking them isn't a bad idea in case you ever needed to pull it, because you could probably re-adhere it.

That ol' smoker would be fun, keep it! :ride

I got tired of cleaning up that mess and now trim the excess paper around the edge of the sticker and use clear packing tape to affix it to the fork leg.

If you have to take off a current sticker, to reuse just spray paint the back in white. Then use clear packing tape to put it back on.

I just removed an old sticker today. Brake parts cleaner removed the white void left on the fork. Sprayed some on a paper towel and the white stuff turned to goo and wiped right off.

Good tips everyone, thanks! Can't say no to carbon fiber!
