SOLD - 2006 SV650 (Naked Fighter)

*SOLD*

I've been pondering this for a quite awhile, and decided. It's a GORGEOUS bike, black and mean and sounds incredible. It's just not me anymore.

I am a different motorcycle rider than I thought I was, or I used to be. Decided I'm enjoying the more calmer side of motorcycle riding, so I'm letting this go and keeping my old cruiser.

I purchased this a year ago and immediately upgraded it:

New Tires (less than 1000 miles)
Racetech Springs with new oil (rated for rider weight 190-200lbs)
New "Superbike" Handlebars
New Levers
CNC'd mirrors
Trailtech computer
Streetfighter Headlight
De-snorkled Airbox with tank risers
K&N Airfilter
Grip warmers
Solo Seat Cowl
Total makeover and minor tune-up by your's truly, to include a brake flush, fresh oil, radiator flush.

Stuff I bought the bike with:
R6 Rear Shock
Holeshot Exhaust (sounds beautiful)

I still have the original fairings, headlight, gauges, grab bar and passenger seat.

11,xxx miles. Salvage title from previous owner (owners?), but this bike is absolutely immaculate and everything tracks perfect.

I am in no rush to sell. Asking $3000 obo

I'm surprised you are selling this. It really is a sweet bike (and the best year of SV, imo)
It looks like you changed your mind once you figured out the fuel range on your Honda.

Thanks Jeff! Yeah, I've been thinking about the SV for some time and last weekend I went up the mountain (hwy 9, and roads connecting). While the smaller, tighter roads were great, I realized I'm not into that scene anymore. It got me thinking how much I've changed as a motorcyclist, and I feel like I've had my fair share of "aggressive" riding: from stupid fast riding on those roads to racing at Stockton, organizing and attending track days... modifying bikes to make them go faster... I think that part of my riding experience is done. Going up that mountain 20 years ago in that environment would've made me stoked, but not nowadays. Now? I'm equally as happy going down a straight highway, soaking in scenery, without my bike feeling like it's screaming at me.

I also think it was renting a cruiser in Maul and having my wife on the back and going up the Road to Hana changed my perspective a lot. I just don't care about proving a point of speed. I believe this bike would be much better suited for a motorcyclist in a different mindset and at that point in their riding experience. This is plenty of awesome bike for the go-fast enthusiast.
