The North Bay Motorcycle Club is running the Lost Coast Dual Sport again this year - October 2&3 (sorry for the late notice...)

The route is designed for Dual Sport and Adventure bikes.

Your motorcycle must be street legal, insured, meet current 96db sound requirements and make 100 miles between fuel stops. GPX tracks and basic maps will be provided.

We'll start in Ukiah, overnight in Fortuna, and finish in Ukiah. The hotels in Fortuna are within walking distance of the Eel River Brewery!

We will transport your overnight luggage so you don't have to!

More information and signups coming at:

Glad to see this one happening again. I had a blast a few years ago.

As you can see, all types of bikes are represented.

Super fun ride! Same weekend as Stonybarf though!

I'm a definite maybe on this ride. I did it a couple years ago. Good times, however that last bit of road before you get to Fortuna seemed like an eternity.

I’m all signed up. I forget, where do we get the gpx tracks?

I'm all signed up as well. Me and 6 friends are doing it.
You'll get the route download where the ride starts (Factory pipe in Ukiah) either Friday evening or Saturday morning.

Check your E-mail. GPX tracks were sent this morning.

Weather looks really good for this event. No rain on the horizon and temps in the 50s to low 60s. They had a bit of rain this past weekend up on the coast so conditions should be pretty sweet. Hopefully less dust, maybe a spot of mud here or there.

Peter sent out the tracks a few days ago and I hear that some people have had issues with the Saturday track.... like maybe there's one segment that goes out into the Pacific Ocean??? Not sure how or why that happened but we advise that you ignore that segment and stay on pavement or dirt the whole way... unless of course you're Travis Pastrana.... :thumbup

We will have laptops at the event on Friday and Saturday so tracks can be loaded or reloaded then if necessary.

Is lunch in Shelter Cove? (and if you pay too much attention to the tracks it's on the water)

Tracks uploaded to my GPS and Gaia just fine.

Good to hear on the tracks.

SC would be a pretty sweet spot for lunch don't ya think...... :cool

Ya know, you can ride on the beach at SC, but we recommend you stay out of the water..... :laughing

Ok I'm officially in. Hard to pull me away from Stonybarf, but this is a great event! See you all manana!

Couple of updates...

We learned that the track we sent out for Day 1 had over 10,000 track points and that was a problem for devices that would accept only 10,000 track points (some or all Garmin Montana for instance) per track. So we went ahead and broke the Day 1 track into 2 pieces, Ukiah to lunch, then lunch to Fortuna. If you didn't receive the email with the new tracks you can get them in Ukiah at registration. Sorry for any confusion.

Dirt sections are reported to be in very good shape except for the last few miles on Low Gap Rd which has some deeper ruts. You should be plenty warmed up by the time you get there, just watch your pace coming downhill after the first 20 miles or so.

They appear to have loaded just fine in my Montana. I see the route. What would the failure look like?

If your Day 1 track was only 134 miles then you're not seeing the whole way to Fortuna. It should be just over 200 miles for the day.

Excellent ride this weekend! We had a blast! Thanks to NBMC for putting on this great event! We ran a crew of ADV bikes and had a great time!
