Bret Tkacs clearly explains U-turn fundamentals and techniques in this step-by-step guide designed to improve your riding skills. He'll outline different approaches for both LOW and HIGH TRACTION environments so you're covered no matter where you ride.

As I heard in one video, the game for this is to practice all the time, just not a lot.

Better off doing a couple of U-turns in a parking lot every day than running off to try and do it for an hour.

Still getting comfortable doing that.

It's funny, my 750GS is about 4in longer than my VFR was. And, granted I was riding more then, but I never felt that awkward turning the VFR. But the GS takes some effort and thought to be sure. Dunno if it's the 4in, or the width of the handlebars, or just a "bit bigger bike" syndrome.

But it's there, to be sure.
