I'm curious if anyone has updated their older iphone to 15.6.1. Not sure what qualifies as old. For the record, this is an iPhone 8 which I don't consider 'old' but it might be old enough that the new OS will ruin it.
Asking because this is for my work phone and IT is requiring us to do this update for security reasons but I remember the last time I had an older model and updated the OS, it turned into the slowest piece of shit with the battery life of an hour at best.
If that happens I don't think it will be a problem ordering a new work phone, just figured I'd ask since I'm smart phone stupid and IT is not returning my email or calls. If I don't have to get a new phone, that would be preferable. I don't care about having the latest and greatest model.
