First off thanks to the good folks that put this 24th annual 2022 2 Stroke Extravaganza event on (again). You did a great job! And thanks to Lucky Luke Brewing Company for hosting the event with all the noisy and smoky machines occupying their property.

I would love to have gone on the ride on Saturday but unable to accept the risk of leaving my truck/trailer parked anywhere whilst riding. So, like last year, I could only go for the wonderful event on Sunday again.

12 noon smoke out video and event video forthcoming.

Some photo stuff. Spent the night in the beautiful Grapevine resort town of Lebec. Even with the motion detection antitheft device I barely slept. I have to stare out the window every so often to make sure my stuff is safe.

I was fortunate to hook up with Dave who let me share his tent shade. That is one awesome NSR250.

Somewhere in here I went and got a fantastic chicken fried rice burrito.

The well-deserved best of show winner. The 474cc Banshee Electron carb’d transplant is an engineering masterpiece.

It is a cool event but the weather was a bit hot.

Here is a short video of a few of the immature children doing the 12 noon smoke out.

Nice!
Thanks for the video Ken.:)

Mods vs Rockers ride 10-15 year ago there was a pretty big group "racing" to the top of Twin Peaks and I happened to be the third bike there on my XT500. One of the bikes that beat me was a beautiful Triumph Scrambler. The other was a Lambretta that was being powered by an RD350 engine. That scoot could SCOOT. Wonder if that dudes still around.

Second and final video of this spectacular event.

Thanks for sharing the 2 stroke love Ken! :thumbup

Pretty cool to see Leno there.

Thanks for sharing, Ken. Awesome again, as usual.
Is that 3rd bike in your trailer your RZ350 project from the build thread? I didn't know you'd completed it.

Thanks for the replies here.

Yeah, Jay Leno. I've never seen or met him in person. Still haven't met him:laughing. But when he pulled in it was a mob scene. I saw him one time engaged in conversation and walks up slowly inching up closer to him, then touches his shoulder, and he turns like WTF, but relinquished and had a photo taken with the shoulder touching dude. One can almost feel sorry for him with his celebrity status. It was cool to see him come to this event!

gixxerjeff, you must be referring to the red/white bike. No, that is not the current project bike. That is an all stock (just took the Toomeys off, put stock pipes on, and rejetted for stock) first year 1983 Canadian import. It's now a non-op garage queen since I do not want to keep paying $150 a year to register something I ride a few times per year. DMV thieving for vintage stuff.:twofinger

I could smell the pre-mix from here.

Mad

Thanks John. Doing my best to stay young and maintain some idiocy in my old age. Mosquito abatement was in full effect. It may last for a while :laughing

Lovely pics and vid, and I bet there wasn't a mosquito for miles! :thumbup

I appreciate your efforts every day I don't have malaria, Zika, or any of the countless diseases carried by mosquitoes! :thumbup

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for pics. That is a seriously cool event.

glad i wasn't there because i would have had an aneurysm from being in the vicinity of all that 2T awesomeness, thank you for sharing!
