Classic!!! :thumbup

I am working on a ride report and will cross post photo's to this thread.

I like this one...

That bar was fun, I appreciated the friendly local vibe, but I am glad no one used the observation bench while I was relieving myself of spent beer...

That is a fun bar. Thanks for the pic and the pizza Nate. :Port

I kinda went around the horn Saturday night.
Tequila shots.
Tequila seltzer
A beer
A shot of bourbon... then we went to the bar :laughing

There a couple cranberry Vodkas.

Got all my drinking food groups in. :laughing

I had a few myself which contributed to my very late departure Sunday :laughing

Ah well, all's well that ends well.

"Fins to the West"
I can find two spots with rusty dino's in this county, haven't jumped the shark, , ,

I cruised thru the motel Sat morning starting my loop for the day, found only two road motors idle, traded for dual sports, everybody out for the day.

I have no pix of anybody, I was there for the first cocktail spilled, yet no evidence.
"I see nothing, nothing at all."

It's staying in the fog of Morro

yes, I was ksu at 5am on Saturday morning, because I wanted to see the sunrise on TV Tower Rd and then hit the car show at Estrella Warbirds Museum when the gates opened at 7am:

trying to channel my inner Mr Johndicezx9 with this pic. :laughing:ride

looking down on three of the Nine Sisters along Hwy 1 between SLO and Morro Bay. the tallest of the three in the pic is Bishop Peak (“Obispo” is Bishop in Spanish and “morro” is hill, I guess).

then rode down TV Tower Rd to Santa Margarita and on to Rossi’s Driveway and on to the car show:

a 1953 Lockheed T-33A Shooting Star and a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda notchback hardtop, because friends don’t let friends drive Chevys. :p

Ms ThumperX gave me a wonderful referral to Franklin Hot Springs in Paso Robles (“The Pass of the Oaks”), so had to hit that next … :ride

picture.php

from the hot springs and Paso Robles went and found Cypress Mountain Road for a little dual sport dirt …

and some color along Old Creek Road, Saturday afternoon, before heading back to the hotel at Morro Bay for my nap. :toothless

anyway, BARF Rallies are awesome because they get me away from my usual comfort zone places. can’t wait for the next one! :afm199

I woke up at the crack of dawn (not ass rack as John did) and took a slow walk to look at the fog then on to a cute local coffee shop.

Aaron and I took a leisurely drive out to Pozo.Sadly Pozo Saloon is closed and looks abandoned :cry We off loaded the Betas at the CAl Fire station and met Nathan on his DRZ. Sadly our planned route didn't happen on account of Pozo Road no longer existing :cry

We stopped under some shade trees and rerouted.

On to Turkey Flat where we encountered more closed but passable roads then a nasty couple of gates locking us out of some good riding opportunities.

A little late to the party with my photos from the PitHo Rally. Good times with great friends. A few snaps plus some maps...

My day started with an Infectious Diseases Research Retreat at Stanford so I had to make a late start and didn't set off until 13:30. I chose a route that would be fun regardless of the late departure Day 1 route A couple of the roads were "closed", making for an engaging ride. Highland Highway was one of those roads; 5 minutes of onboard footage - time stamp is an hour behind I rolled into the Rockview Inn around 18:45 just in time for beers and food.

Day two saw some fun riding with Budman, Chill, Enchanter, GoGo, and Norcal Factory Day 2 route Budman has already given a breakdown of his ride. Budman's Day 2 ride report Norcal and I pressed on and enjoyed the rest of our day with Budman in our thoughts. After a detour to Cycle Gear to source some bolts for Norcal's front cowling, it was back to the Rockview Inn and a short walk to Legends Bar for beers and pizza.

The return journey was spent with Enchanter and Firewatch Day 3 route A few small detours to grab fuel and lunch were had on the way. A great ride through a little of wine country and some fun times along Carmel Valley Road. I parted ways with Enchanter and Firewatch in Santa Cruz, leaving me to have a chilly jaunt up the coast and across the Santa Cruz Mountains.

I still owe you your air gauge SLO.

Text me an address to drop it to or other plan.

Have to get the pump to Norcal too.
