We only made it 3 miles before we got stopped at a one way and @planegray pissed off the woman with the stop sign.
She made mistakes with her communication that had him starting to launch and then she got ticked. Sort of a what the fuck look. I gave her aback…. But my visor was down.
She was signaling a truck that was part of the crew behind us to move up. I guess wearing a helmet blocks the view for the eyes in back of our heads.
After a long wait mostly watching her put her legs up on the door and playing with her hair we got the move on old people look and signal.
OMG. I also had a run in with crazy traffic sign person. I was behind a truck and SUV and we passed the sign saying one lane road ahead, prepare to stop. Then we pass a guy holding SLOW sign. Then we get up to a couple stopped dump trucks, can't see anything else besides that; figure, the SLOW meant we could go, SLOW, right? The truck kept going and went left, taking an exit to some property or something. The SUV and I continued on...
WRONG
Turns out there was ANOTHER person and sign, hiding right in front of the dump trucks. Yup. Said STOP. I caught them in my peripheral and heard them screaming "YOU'RE GOING TO KILL YOURSELF!!!"
WTF?!Both the SUV and myself stop, turn around, and go line up behind the dump trucks. This is with a very small amount of room to maneuver. If the five dump trucks coming the other direction were two minutes quicker, it would have been an....interesting...morning.
