Howdy all. Introducing myself as I am looking to attend some meetups & group rides. I live on the coast, riding primarily on and around Highway 1.

I am two years into riding and am a long-time cycling enthusiast. When I started, the guidance was counter to the norm: get large big bike first, as in 6 months you'll grow out of anything underpowered as well as be able to confidently ride any size bike. I picked up a 2016 Victory Hammer to start with & it's been fun. I'm enjoying reading the contributions to BARF and in particular reviewing ride notes to find ideas for places to stay.

Welcome, and also yes, come to a rally, says the other guy not going to the rally because he was gonna go to Moto America and then got sick so will likely be sitting at home.
 
Apologies on the triggering subject title - that's good to know. And, thank you all, the greetings are kind.

I am often at the HMB Harbor and see all different types of bikes, riders, and riding groups coming through. It is awe inspiring at times.

I am tracking TheMotoSocial - July 16 & the Phoenix Hotel. Seems like a cool spot.

I'm going to miss July, But I'll be there for the one in August. Hopefully with the rest of the Bay Area Electric Motorcycle Club. As soon as The Moto Social posts the August meetup location, I'll cross post it here in the Social Gatherings forum.
