Bimota set to return to WSBK in 2025

https://www.crash.net/wsbk/news/1047349/1/official-bimota-return-wsbk-forming-new-team-kawasaki

In partnership with Kawasaki...

The more the merrier!

(Is their only win with Gobert?)

Cycle News says:

"Bimota won seven races in the first World Superbike Championship year of 1988 thanks to Davide Tardozzi with five wins and Stephane Mertens with two. The company’s final WorldSBK win came via the late Anthony Gobert at Phillip Island in 2000 with the SB8R"

Anybody else think, regardless of current struggles, that JR65 knew this was coming and that's why he NOPE'd outta there early?

Good Luck BbK!

I don't think so. Kawasaki is still funding the WSBK effort and its the exact same team (Provec Racing) and staff just using the Bimota name and, hopefully, a more modern chassis with the ZX-10R engine. This appears to be clever way for Kawasaki to update their WSBK chassis while not having to go the expense of revamping the ZX-10R. This move should give them a chance to compete with Ducati and BMW by offering Bimota homologation specials.
