Cars that make your jaw drop.

This certainly made my jaw drop. Spotted in the Sonoma Safeway parking lot sporting dealer plates. What the heck is this one called? My googling failed to find it.

Ferrari Roma, will set you back about 300 linguini (k)

Great to see the Hendricks boys win the PSC. Not a huge surprise given how many stops these guys do in a given race, but solid win!

Shaun: Ferrari Roma.

Thanks guys! That's a lot of linguini!!

How about this beauty I caught cruising through town. Pagani Huayra I believe. I think these go for 1-2 million or so.

You are correct. Pagani Huayra it is. I’ve been up close to one and the level of craftsmanship is out of this world.

100% agree on the craftsmanship statement. My only gripes are that I could never afford one and that the instrument cluster is a little hard to read. If I were able to afford one, I'd spec it to have gauges that were less glossy and easier to read.

For the cluster, for sure. The center screen looks the same size in all trims to me, though. :dunno

The differences are subtle, but they are there.

Raptor:

It looks like there are 2 sizes, XL and XLT get the smaller one, about an inch bezel on either side, and the KVAC controls are higher up to take up more visual space. The Lariat and Raptor get the larger, almost no bezel on either side, HVAC controls are further down to allow for more screen space.

IMO the smaller one is plenty big enough. I still am not a big fan of portrait layout though.

Indeed you're right. But I agree that the entire layout sucks. Not a fan of it in the Rams and it doesn't look good on the new Rangers either.

I am really intrigued by the NASCAR / Lemans race.

The Camaro is beautiful.

NASCAR this year celebrates its 75th birthday, and is looking to commemorate the anniversary by promoting its brand on the world stage. Seven-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson, 2009 Formula One champion Jenson Button and 2010 Le Mans winner Mike Rockenfeller will drive the NASCAR entry this weekend.

Chevy decided to celebrate with a road legal homage.. It's just a normal Camaro underneath, but it gets a cool paint job. :thumbup

Apparently they are only going to make 56 of them, presumably all of which will have massive dealer markups and sell for Ferrari money.

That would look great on the ZL1 1LE. Checking to see if it's an option

Edit: no option.

Craftmanship it's got, it's missing style. They are butt-ugly and gaudy from the outside and doubly so from the cockpit.

Thanks for the info FHLO

Wonder how much the 56 Camaro will cost??

From: AutoEvolution

"Pricing for the Camaro ZL1 Garage 56 Edition isn't available yet, but we're looking forward to $80,000 or thereabout. At press time, the most expensive Chevrolet Camaro for the 2024 model year is the ZL1 Collector's Edition we've covered only recently. 350 units will be available to order, with prices kicking off at $88,690 sans freight. Depending on the trim level, the Collector's Edition treatment hikes up the final price of the Camaro by $4,995 (for the 1LT) to $14,995 (for the ZL1)".

Soooooo... Guesstimate of $110K plus and of course additional dealer markup. Probably even more $$$ if it finishes the race.

Ford saw the popularity of the NASCAR Camaro at Le Mans and said, 'us too!'

It'll be in Le Mans next year. Of course, it'll be competing in the GT3 class, which is way, way slower than the LMGTE class that the NASCAR Camaro just beat out in qualifying. That being said, I like it.
