Tomorrow morning. I am passing on the sedation so they said I don't need to fast and I can drive myself right after the procedure.

Anyone have experiences to share?

They called to remind me and asked me to dress light, don't bring my wallet or phone because they do not have secure storage. But I told them I'm riding a motorcycle and she expressed concern, and will talk to the doctor.

I had steroid injections in my lumbar spine last year. They did put me out for the procedure, so needed a ride home afterwards.
I hear that the spinal injection can be painful, so they recommend general anesthesia.
After the first shot, the pain improved, but not as much as I was hoping. I got another shot, that has made a huge difference in my pain level.
Overall, I recommend getting the steroid shot. Just getting through the day with a bearable level of discomfort was a HUGE win for me.

Good Luck!

the SI joint NEEDS to remain flexible
if eventually they try to get tou to immobilize it ask for PT first. strech. increase your mobility

ps. my wife still has stock as part of working for a company that sells the overpriced pins they'll want to put in your SI joint and she'll tell you the same thing
