I am starting to put together a google map of all the California OHV areas I've come across online and on the forums. Going to start to add notes to them as I go to each one. Mostly now just consists of the official CA DMV ones (http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1170) but I am slowly adding these as well: http://www.riderplanet-usa.com/atv/trails/california_list.htm.

For what it's worth.

If you feel like collaborating let me know and I'll give you edit perms.

Cheers,
Zaph

Thanks for the info! But that link doesn't seem to work for me. I will check it out if it comes back online.

I realize that my google map is of limited value but here is why I made it. Every map, route, description I've seen is only for a single route. Therefore, if you are just starting out you have to enter each one into google maps to see how far away they are from where you live. By saving them all on the same google map I got a sense for how far away things are from me. And in the future I can use it to decide how much highway riding I want to do to find some dirt and what else is near by. For each spot I plan to add links to various rides and I suppose I could even add links to download the gps routes!

I thought I'd post it up here in case there were any other newbies who had heard of all of these places but wanted to find the closest to them easily.

:(

Why can't half moon bay have an itsy bitsy off road park.

Thanks for the map though. Always nice to see how many hours it is to the nearest OHV. :laughing

I need to figure out how to ride my Daytona 675 to the OHV park and then have my KLR waiting for me. Best of both worlds.

There is a very cool Android app that lists all the parks in California including current status, links to home pages, etc. Very nice and its free!

Search for MOTO2GO in Google Play. Don't know if there's also one for the Iphone
