Ha ha, one of my old bikes made the list of "8 of the most dangerous bikes..."

I saw another machine that was just as crazy. It was a Suzuki quad that apparently someone thought needed more power. So they brought out their hammers and installed a new engine.

The engine? One purloined from a Gamma.

Surprised my '69 Kaw 500 3 cyl did not make the list. I had one of the first ones came without a steering damper and the spark plug wires came out a 90 degrees behind the cylinders. Free light show at night. Both were fixed after about 4 months. Frame was made by Chef Boyardee. Only bike I have ever had a lock to lock tank slapper on. But it sure was fun.

All the drama in the media at the time was massively overdone....people just weren't used to lightweight, 120+hp twins with 23.5 rake. I'd only had two stroke race bikes beforehand and it felt like a giant, supersonic bus to me, especially when it hit 6k.
IDK, that "innovative" Rotary Damper rear shock was abysmal.

Even Lindemann Engineering back in the day couldn't get it to work properly.

A crap rear shock is a very bad thing on any moto.

Michelin race tires circa 2005 or so. That front had great grip until it didn't. I still have nightmares, head first into everything.

One of my current is my scariest, so much so, I refuse to ride it. A 1980 Vespa PE200 2-smoke with sidecar. 3 speed. Sheer terror. Took one ride and put her away. I lived.

Most of the good riders that I know who have fucked themselves up have done so on scooters or other little bikes.
Our own Surj comes immediately to mind.
