Handled: BARF roadside Angels : stranded at Point Reyes Station

It died and needed a jump then died at speed after I was trying to put some miles on it to charge back up. It looks like the regulator went bad and fried the stator in the alternator. Apparently it is a none problem and their is a recall for my model and year for the regulator. So I Monroe has agreed to fix the regulator no charge and I ordered a new aftermarket stator from Rick's. If all goes well it should be fixed and back on the road the middle of next week.

Be sure to seal the grommet on the Rick's stator very well. I had to pull the stator cover off 3 times just to get the thing sealed properly and stop spewing oil. Was on the same bike. :thumbup
