Somewhere around 8K, I think. A lot of it is 500-mile rides to and from Tahoe (via back roads) to deal with a contractor working on my cabin, so the trips weren't all for pleasure, even if the riding itself was pleasurable.

yes, I definitely do not ride every day. :facepalm

the other metric we use in my other club is Mr @bananachunks “nights camped” per year. think I’ve got 27 nights in my tent so far in 2026. think Mr George’s record is over 90 nights in one year. :wow

anyway, you guys who ride everyday stomp me into the ground, milage-wise. :clown

pic cuz why not:

That is a beautiful picture.

Add them up, commuting. Pleasure, track, dirt, whatever....

If you did it on 2 wheels How many?

I think I am at around 6k since getting a new to me bike in May

This year hasn't been that good for me, physically. So I've been riding the couch, playing guitar,.learning some new creative software stuff.
I have gotten out on days when I didn't feel like warmed over shit, but started the year in persistent Afib, but had procedure to fix it, followed by surprise gastric bleed that almost killed me, and now on way back from severe anemia...but have been out for a few hundred milers, like SF to Tomales etc.

Hoping for.a couple ambitious road trips in 2027 cuz I'm not getting any younger.

I used to average close to 10,000 miles per year but now, zero miles.

here’s a pic of the SFMC’s High Milage Trophy, just back from the trophy shop to memorialize Mr @bananachunks ’s progress in securing it the past three years:

Mr George’s winning totals were 30,280, 28,695 and 21,972 total miles for each year from 2023 - 2025. :ride

if yer on the ball, you send a pic of your odo to our Road Captain at the start of the season (of course, the odo on my war-horse KLR was busted during those years. :facepalm), and the high-milage trophy is presented at our annual awards banquet at the end of the riding season.

Past six years - that photo only shows one of three sides with my name
They're not really what I would consider "high mileage", but it's most likely the only way my name will ever be referenced within the walls of the Club so I'll take it. :p

John not having an odometer is probably the only reason anyone else has gotten their name on that trophy. Now that he has a working odometer again, I can kiss any future engravings goodbye - it was good while it lasted. :ride

Just at 18k so far for this year, so hopefully that means I'll at least surpass last year's disappointing number (<22k) :banana

Genuine question (may be worthy of drinks-around-fireplace-at-rally type) - how many days in a year do you spend riding and is it throughout the year or just a month or two?
Some back-of-the-envelope math tells me it would be 21 days of 500 mile-days + 20 nights - assuming one spends 9 hours on the road with 7 hours of riding time out of those 9 hours - every day.
Either that or rack up about 400 miles per week for 50 weeks in a year.

Just finished rebuilding my DR350 and then the BMW that fell into my lap immediately after... Been short the last few years but that's changing. Probably 1500 miles so far this year, though that has almost all of that has happened in the last two months.

Rode both of them up our local 10k peak and realized I've deeply been missing the twisties. Immediately had me wishing for one of the new CB750 Hornets or another SV650.
