Lost Coast Dual Sport Adventure Bike Ride w/ NBMC, Oct 5-6, 2024

How is this with a beginnerish (few 1000 road and less than 200 miles on forest roads) dude with a KLR?

Will 80/20 tires be suitable for this ride? Stock tires on my KTM 390 Adventure are Continental TKC 70s. I'm also an off-rooad beginner as well.

Unless it's been under a deluge, it will be a walk in the park.
Sweet, I just did Fortuna- Petrolia- Garberville and that was easy peasy. Thank you.

I run Shinko 705 80/20s and just did Fortuna- Petrolia- Garberville. I also run on forest roads with zero problem. As for this particular run, I'm not sure.

390 with TKC70s should be fine for this ride. You might want to lower the tire pressure by about 5lbs for better traction in the dirt.

Hopefully you can get out on some dirt between now and the ride to guage your comfort level on dirt. Anything you can do will be helpful.

Woot. Just got the tracks loaded on my phone. Day one looks long! Better each your wheaties folks!

Hope you have plush suspension my DR didn't
