Decaf coffee makes about as much sense to me a non-alcoholic beer, if you're not in it for the buzz why not drink something else instead?
Yours truly (and others) 15 years ago in Iraq. Yes, that's a near-bear tower and yes, that's all we had so we figured the more you could put away, the closer you might come to a buzz. :laughing

Hey @Lunch Box , the models changed (again) and our (arguably best) local weather team is betting on the American model so now the rain totals may have reduced quite a bit but flood watches are still in effect and now there's a wind alert too with gusts up to 75 MPH in the higher elevations...

I actually need to replace two rear tires. Should I do A/W or summer-only?!?!?

I pretty much wear flip flops all the time.

I recall you mention you have a name of a tire shop in San Rafael. But is it worth it for me to go ... the distance?

what does everyone do -- don't people order from TireRack and deliver to home or shop and then just install the tires for... $25? Or more. I wonder if things don't make sense to order from TR any longer. ...

That said $480 for two tires feels a bit rich for me from a tire shop. That's how much I paid for Dunlops last time...

also.... don't exactly have an empty tool box. Have an old, rusty one that I got for $10 but it contains hammers, monkey-ws, plumber's.. etc.,

The study showed a single 20-second session of self-compassionate touch significantly reduced stress, increased kindness to the participant and improved mental well-being. The effects on mental health were greater among people who performed this micropractice daily than those who did not practice as often.

not exactly what came to mind when i read the headline, but i did think it validated the concept. it would depend, of course, on how much time you had on your, um…hands.

20 seconds? I think most of us can do better than that....

America's Tire always seems pretty reasonable when I've dealt with them, only issue is they get busy so you might need to call ahead for an appointment. I'd talk with them, a tire that can manage some wet is good for the bay area but unless you are headed to to Tahoe a lot you won't need all season, and, even then, you gotta run chains whenever things get interesting up there anyway.
