I am selling a 2004 yamaha yzf r6. It is blk/white/red color and is 8 out of 10 clean. Just very minor scratches on the front right fairing due to me dropping it at a stand still. It has a clean title. Bought the bike about 3 months ago for $4,600 bone stock with 4,600 miles. The bike has now 8,500 miles on it with a couple ad-ons. The bike has a smoked windscreen, front flush mounts, fender eliminator kit, carbon fiber yoshi slip-on and white rims. The oil was recently changed at 6,200. I'm asking $4,200 firm due to mileage increase. (I just can't get off the bike)..... Thanks :cool

what bigger bike are you getting? Let me guess, R1?

thats cool. hope to ride soon

So your selling it for more than you bought it for after 3000 miles? and its possible its due for a valve adjustment, Considering it may need new tires, valve adjustment, and the scratches. Ill offer you around 4k

Thanks for your offer but that's to low, I got higher offers than 4k. :twofinger

Don't get me wrong, I like my 600 but the bike is just to small for me. I'm a tall guy and I just look to big. If I could have got a 06 & up r6 I would, but I ended up getting the r1 with 1,000 miles on it for the same price as a newer r6.:thumbup

I'm just trying to figure out why you tell everyone you bought it for $4600, and now you're trying to sell it scratched with 2x more miles for $4800. Doens't make sense. lol

glws

In the top post, the seller says that he bought it for that price bone stock. The bike now has some add-on items on it. Obviously the seller feels that the bike is worth more with the add-on items.

Lets not turn this into a pricing justification thread. The seller has a right to ask for whatever amount he feels his bike is reasonably worth. If this is not the right price for a potential buyer, the potential buyer should move on and ignore the ad altogether. (or discuss the price through PM's with the seller, as per Claissified section's rules.)

Thank you very much Faz, that was very well explained. :thumbup
