BIKE SOLD.
Thanks for the interest. Sold for asking, if anyone was interested and is searching this forum in the future.
I'm considering selling my 2007 MV Agusta F4 1000R. This is, without question, THE Italian Superbike. Ever since a racing incident on a different bike it just hurts my back too much to ride.
This is the higher spec version, but not the all carbon version. My understanding is that these were the last F4's built by hand. This bike held the fastest production motorcycle award for 1000cc bikes for quite a few years. Very impressive machine.
It has the rare white/black/red color scheme. This scheme isn't even on the MV Website. Rizoma rear sets and upgraded mid-pipe. All else is stock.
It has around 5800 miles on the odometer. Most importantly, I have just had the first major service done and had the valves done, and also changed out the cam chain tensioner. It was around $1,350 for the major service alone (not including $450 upgrading the tensioner). Don't be fooled by bikes with 5,xxx miles on them that haven't had the service done - it's a pretty big expense.
Bike is perfect, needs nothing. Never down and never on track. Clean CA Title. This is one of those rare collector bikes that can also be ridden and enjoyed if you are so inclined (I was!)
Price is LOWERED TO $11,500.
I will also trade for a BMW F800GS (new style) or a BMW 1200GS or Adventure. Actually would prefer trade to sale. I have a track bike to go fast on, and am looking for something I could use up in the sierras a little better riding 2-up with the girlfriend. I won't consider any other trades.
Man I'll miss this gorgeous bike if it sells!
