What are your pet peeves?

Absolutely. I had to pick the gravel out of my hands once as a kid... never again. Even as a stupid teenager I'd been known to ride around the neighborhood in cut-offs, no shirt, no helmet... but always gloves! Just the feeling of grips in my bare hands is very odd.
when i was in my early twenties, i got the bright idea to roller skate in golden gate park. got out of control on a steep downhill headed straight into busy cross auto traffic. was wearing shorts (no knee pads). went down and used the side of my knee as a brake pad. stopped in time, but huge road rash (and mass quantities of blood). i still have a scar with tiny pieces of gravel embedded deep. even many years later, a piece works it’s way to the surface. but yeah - certain dumbass mistakes, you only make once.

Pedestrians. Especially the ones NOT in the crosswalks.
Ha, ha... I'm with ya on this!!!
But then there's this: Under the new Freedom to Walk Act you are allowed to cross streets outside of designated crosswalks as long as it is done safely.
The exception, and I think a least 85% to 90% of the Jaywalker D.F's. fall into this category : It remains illegal to suddenly step into oncoming traffic or create an "immediate danger" for yourself and drivers.

Jesus...they made it WORSE, assuming the driver still retains culpability in the event of a pedestrian strike. It's how eternally slow pedestrians walk in crosswalks and don't stop to let cars through (almost never) that's bad enough...now to dodge pedestrians like a game of frogger legally....ugh.

A pet peeve: when I have been flat out at work all day, and a coworker calls to have a discussion that could have been a short text message, and spends a bunch of time on the phone when I am trying to wrap up.

Also, when people overcomplicate things. I wasted 15 minutes on the phone trying to figure out WTF the company owner wanted with his weird, circuitous request, and in the end, all that was needed was to know, "How much should we sell a refurbished X for?"

AY DIOS MIO. DOG HELP ME. I am getting grumpy in my advanced age.

My latest pet peeve is when motorists see me (or anyone) making a calculated entrance, merge or turn that they are approaching, they speed up so they can honk as though they are endangered instead of just letting it happen. I live on a hill and I had it happen recently.. The person gunned it COMING UPHILL as I pulled out of my side street so they could make it seem risky and justify being aggro. People are just generally angry anymore and of course we all can guess why.

People lacking intention and passion.

I talk fast cuz I'm trying to get in a lot and move on. Father inlaw I CANNOT stand. Total Eeyore type. Is a "graphic designer" and complains his retirement is going to be "would you like fries with that?" Yet......puts in ZERO effort in trying to get new additional clients. Zero. Just complains. Cannot stand it.

That's a good one.

Let the merge happen, folks.

People that don't pronounce the T's in the middle of words. It's impor-ant... even if you live in Manha-an.

People that do 27 laps in the parking lot to find a spot one space closer to the door. Bonus points if its a gym (ergo; not clear on the concept).
