Hey guys, I tried stuntin on the R6 the other day. I tried to pop a wheelie using no clutch. just trottle.. the bike just jerks... I dont think I was hitting it right. It didnt even lift up.
This is my first attempt at it.
I was tryin to get used to the idea of the clutch wheelie. You pull in the clutch.... close throttle. pop the clutch and throttle at the same time and you're up.

I tried it. from a stand still... I went about 15 mph. pulled the clutch... closed the throttle.... popped the clutch and pulled on the throttle....

the bike jerked again...
I think the clutch one is scarier because you really dont have a good grip on the handle bars when you're popping it.

ANY GOOD SUGGESTIONS, COMMENTS, ADVICE on how to go One up on the R6?

I think U just get the bike rolling about 5-10mph then rev to about 6-8grand then the front should pop up stay on the gas and it will come up even more

Yeah KID R Is right Do whatever he says....

I think that what the same method PRIMER was
doing on BB.

throttle up to 6-8 grand then chop off the throttle and in one motion throttle back on. it will come up fast, so be careful. and of course wear all your safety gear and only do this in a controlled environment with a closed course ;)

Get to about 7000rpm in 1st gear and jerk the throttle 2-3 times...on the 3rd try your front should slightly and slowly start comming up...keep at the throttle to get it higher, but remember..the higher you get the lighter and easier the wheel comes up. Don't loop it.

Edit: All this information is from what I have heard from other people.

What RPMs were you in? On 600s' like the R6 and F4/I's you need to be in the 10k range or higher. I would reccomend getting used to riding around in that rev range in 1st gear for a while, so yr used to the sound and sensation.
One way I have HEARD to wheelie is this: 1st gear, accelerate to about 10k RPM stedily. When you hit 10-11k whack open the throttle and the front WILL come up, so be ready. Honestly, wheelieing on 600's or other bikes where you have to modulate gas/clutch/etc. requires you to have REALLY good throttle control. I'm not sure how good a rider you are, but definitely be careful.

:wtf

Damn, you're good!

Umm dudes....chop throttle 3 times, need 10k to do a wheelie? wtf?

Easy as pie...get to around 6-7k...chop throttle, sit back, and watch her come up....i ain't no wheelie king, but still....

Aaaahhhhh....I remember asking this same question last summer.

It comes down to timing and practice. Mostly practice, practice, and then practice some more. With the R6 you won't need to clutch it.

Ride her to around 7-8000 rpm. Cut off the throttle by a pubic hair(so that needle will drop to around 5500-6000 rpm) then go WOT. As mentioned by Bad Dad she will come up mighty FAST. If you feel like its going to loop just cut the throttle off immediately and the front will come down....some folks told me to tap the rear brake but everytime I did that the front end would land too hard (better then looping though).

You don't need to go WOT...that's just asking for problems...just give her some good gas....that's all..

R6 is a lot differant than your 954, gotta work it a little more. Like Rambeezi said it's all about timing and practice. You can read all you want but if you really want to wheelie you gotta spend some time.

If you're going to clutch it up, don't just dump the clutch you gotta ride it a little bit to get the front up.

SO just stay on 1st gear the whole time? I dont know about you guys but If I ride 7-8000 rpm that aint goin 10-15 mph anymore. thats close to 40 for me.

You guys say cut off the throttle. Do you guys mean just close it? or using the clutch? I tried doing the clutch before and Its hard to have a good hand on the bars. specially on the left hand. I was kinda scared cuz it jerked back.

Yes yes. You're right. :teeth I was basing it with my experience on my POS 900RR. Definitely do not WOT but gradually give her more gas and try to find that shweet spot.

Like this. this will do it for you.
Roll in first gear. ok.
roll to about 5000rpm.
then accelerate to 6500-8000 rpm.
once you hit that, roll off the throttle for a half second.
the front suspension will compress.
when it bounces back up, roll on the throttle halfway or so.
it WILL come up up. if you time it right.
roll off, suspension compresses down, it snaps up and at the same time roll back on it.
your r6 can do it.
