The number one and two new releases this past weekend were the Martian and Hotel Transylvania II respectively. Which did you go see?

Nada, I might go see The Martian next week :dunno

Rented "Kingsman" on demand. Kindda cute but should have waited for NetFail.

I saw Everest (yeah new movie last weekend)
First time to the theaters in a while. It had a few good 3D scenes but needed to be another 2hr to get a better feel for what happened.

I watched Iron Man 3 on the plane ride yesterday. Was new to me at least.

Sicario - legit

Other. Wife was out of town, watched Gone Girl. Holy shit was that movie boring. What a waste of time.

On the plus side, I started reading The Martian yesterday and it's a great read. Can't wait to finish it up tonight.

I haven't been to a theater since "Rush" came out 2 years ago, and the time before that was when "Senna" came out in 2011... I'll wait for the "Star Wars" movie, I guess.

Yeah that was not the best. But now I can watch Age of Ultron on the way back home since I'm caught up on the whole timeline of it all I suppose.

Saw The Martian in 3D. Great movie spoiled by the crappy 3D. They got the depth of field all wrong. All of the outside shots look like little toy models and spoiled the movie for me.

The actual story is great and I'm certain its much better in 2D.

We had a choice betwen 3d and 2d and since my wife has vision problems that would have made 3d uncomfortable for her, we saw it in 2d. I wasn't drawn to 3d either so it was best for both of us.

Fun flick, the ending was awesome.

Started watching Black Mass and watched Mission Impossible 5. Honestly all those MI movies are identical at this point, but still a minimum level of amusement that keeps me comin back.

I have no desire to see "The Walk" in either 2D or 3D, even the CGI heights gimme the heebie-jeebies....

Man on Wire was one of the best documentaries I've ever seen...and there's no footage because they didn't have portable movie cameras in those days.

I saw the doc, I even remember the actual event because I was a paper-boy in 1974 and it was on the front page of the 70 papers I had to roll and deliver, knocking Watergate to the side until Nixon resigned a couple of days later.

I think the special effects in this one will mess with my fear of heights.

Is The Martian just a remake of Mission to Mars or whut? They keep showing that movie, with Gary Sinise, on the premium cable. I actually saw it for the first just within the last two months, so it seems weird to the same premise popping up.

Hotel Transylvania II. So awesome to hear Mel Brooks' voice, he is a comedic genius. :thumbup

It's based on the book "The Martian". Completely different story and premise.
