Your responsibilities:

Sign-in and Check-in:
Be aware that we do have a sign-in/check-in policy. Please refer to the Rider’s Packet when it becomes available.

Early Departure
If, for any reason, you decide to depart early from the rally, you must notify a rally coordinator, or ask another participant to relay your intent to a rally coordinator.

What’s a Rally?
This is not an organized or guided group-riding event. There are no designated leads or sweeps. This is a rally with pre-determined routes, common points-of-interest and destination for the participants. The daily starting point and time are provided to allow the participants the greatest opportunity to enjoy the company of other BARFers and BARFettes along the way for the duration of the rally. Participants are free to band into groups of their choosing, and at their own risk.

You are responsible for yourself
Riding a motorcycle is dangerous. You are responsible for your own safety. Proper riding gear, a valid CDL/M1, vehicle registration and proof of insurance are highly recommended. You are also responsible for the good operating condition of your motorcycle. The good condition includes general mechanical condition, as well as the condition of wear items such as chains and sprockets, brake pads, and tires. In short, you are the Captain of your own ship.

Got TIRES?
It's worth highlighting because we see at least one person running out of tire at every rally to date. Overestimating the life of your tires can quickly ruin a weekend getaway, and may even extend your stay in town by a day or two.

Expenses
You are responsible for your own expenses. Budget for lodging, park fee(s), gas, food, beverages, and anything you may need along the way accordingly.

There are some roads up that way that will rock you. :ride Trust me, you want this. :teeth

Yeah, I've seen snow up that way in May, but I wouldn't worry about it. It could just as easily be hot.

Uh, the last pic is not Quincy. Taft is 400 miles away... And the Tiger was brand new then...

I'm in though! We'll have to head out of Oroville though... :)

Sweetness of the :ride

Sweetness of the :party

The joy of sharing it with other barfers.. makes it a great time. :Port

If you want to be a stickler about it, none of the photos are of Quincy because we haven't had a BARF rally there yet. Those are all pics from BARF rallies. Be sure to take lots of photos and post them up on BARF, then we'll have lots of pics of Quincy to use when we announce next year's rally that goes somewhere else. :p

Since you have a Tiger, you should start the rally in Covelo. :teeth

Definately one of the best roads around! :ride I cant wait!:teeth

The ride along the Feather River is awesome, Quincy is a great little town and on my short list for retirement places.

Do want. Magic 8 ball is still fuzzy on this one. If I ain't in TX around that time, I'll be all up in this business.

Thnx for the heads up Tom!

IN!!!:party
Where are my other NorCal Peeps?
Kedo, Dtrides, RpM, Lonster .... front and center :twofinger!

Son of a bitch! May 15th is my niece's wedding day. I have to be in Sonoma that whole weekend...

hmmm.....maybe.....undecided....

Anyone going that'll never go faster than 80mph?
I'd prefer to not ask my thumper (BMW) for more that.:)

Al, 5/15 is NOT a good day to get married. :rofl

Bummer, wish we could do this ride together, it's been years!

SR 89

[IN THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AREA]
IS CLOSED FROM THE LASSEN VOLCANIC NAT'L PARK SOUTH BDRY TO THE
JCT OF SR 44 /LASSEN LOOP/ (TEHAMA, SHASTA CO) - FOR THE WINTER -
MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO USE AN ALTERNATE ROUTE
Generally speaking, they don't clear the winter closures until the last weekend of May. If there's snow on the ground, it's going to be "chilly".

Just sayin ...
