2011 Spring Rally -- BARF does Quincy!

hmmm.....maybe.....undecided....

Anyone going that'll never go faster than 80mph?
I'd prefer to not ask my thumper (BMW) for more that.:)
:wtf
Ride up on the "thumper (BMW)", huh? Hadn't considered that, but ...

hmmmmmmm.

Generally speaking, they don't clear the winter closures until the last weekend of May. If there's snow on the ground, it's going to be "chilly".

Just sayin ...

44/89 Junction is hecka North of this place. 89 between Truckee and Quincy is maintained. Reno riders were riding the Quincy loop just last month even.

The only time I'll come close to it would be on I-5. Elsewhere on local roads, I have deer and CHPs to worry about. Go ahead, speed on Feather River Hwy... Make my day :laughing

There is so much to ride up there without going to Lassen. Not a worry.

lemme rephrase that- anyone going that'll cruise majority of the time around 75-80ish? :teeth

Yeah, that's what I was going to say. Speed up Hwy 70 through the Feather River canyon at your peril. I do believe the limit is 55, and the reputation is that there's no "grace" from the local CHP.

Mike, if you want to come my route, there will be limited slab.

Hey guys, thanks for the pm about this... how did you know I had an itchin for getting away?!.... How long do we have to make the reservations? I'm in, pending some stuff next month, etc. you know, buyin a house (out in Antioch) and all that..
btw, words cannot express how much I'm looking forward to this, after hibernating (just biking to and from work) all winter... ;)

very interested......I won't know until late March though.

Yes, Hwy 70 is not the best place to be speeding, though it is a beautiful ride.

Hey Mort, I'll keep it below 80 for the most part.

True.:(

Ok, no problem. I personally don't have issues with cold weather. :teeth
