LEO... you ever pulled over Bubb Rubb or Lil Sis or their friends?

This is funny because I just had a cop pull me over in my truck because he thought I had one of those whistle tips installed. He was next to me at a light and said it was pretty loud...which it is. I had to explain to him that it was actually the turbo and not the tip...

You know, based on what they showed in the video, it wouldn't take much to manufacture say 100 of these. Punch them out with a drill press and have them just long enough for a snug fit in the diameter of common exhaust pipes.

Then at night go around the neighborhood and install them in all parked cars with a punch and mallet. You wouldn't even need to weld them. It would take longer to walk to the next car than it would to actually install it.

Wouldn’t that be neat :)

So wrong but so damn funny :thumbup:teeth

Hahah.... what kind of car/exhaust setup? Ive got a Chevy Duramax with 5" straightpipe and my turbo likes to SCREAM :twofinger

04 Duramax with MBRP downpipe back 4" kit, no muffler or cat.....its loud stock but when the edge is bumped up to level 5 it gets nasty. :teeth

MM4L - Great story.

Y'all going to prosecute the people in the video for crossing the double yellow, failure to stop at a stop sign, and reckless for almost hitting the cross-street car? ;)

Ya Ive seen the vid but figured people were just goofin around and named that chase vid after him. The driver in there is decent though, and the car looks similar to Lil Sis's car in the whistle tip video hahahah.

lol, I guess. Lil' Sis's car is a Nissan 300ZX and in the chase vid it's a 4th Gen Mustang.

I hope you guys dont mistake me for one of these vicious lawbreakers, The turbo in my truck sings nicely.

actually it's a MkIII Supra, not a Z31. Never heard of mustangs spoken of in gens either... SN95 is my recollection, although it could be a new edge (don't feel like watching it)

The New Edge Mustang actually still uses the SN95 chassis (1994-2004) so technically it is an SN95 Mustang. The New Edge name only refers to the body. And the Mustang in said video is a New Edge Mustang.

I know they're the same chassis, and it's very closely related to the Fox as well. My main point was it wasn't a 300ZX.

*shrug* I was going on memory of the car at that point. My point was it was a ricer vs. a mustang. Pretty different looks to them.

used to hear the dam whistle tips in Oakland all the time, now its pretty rare. Thank god hated those stupid things. But now everybody and their mom is getting Harleys with loud pipes and doing the loud ass shift/rev thing everywhere while playing too short at full blast through the bikes speakers.

I actually had the pleasure of writing this one.. as it turns out, I heard it and located the vehicle, a convertable 60's model Chevy, but just as it was parking in the Jack in the Box lot. I went over and looked at it and spoke with the driver brielfy. I warned him it was illegal and he removed it right then and there. Then about a week later (this was the summer of 2005), I heard it again and he also had his stereo blaring (in violation of 27007 CVC). I pulled him over and cited him for 27150.3 (non-correctable as a persistant violation), 27007 and 24004 CVC (a 1 point moving violation).

Then to top things off, he signed his name "Fuck You Pig" :wtf so I amended my citation to add 40504(b) CVC violation (a misdemeanor, for the false signature on the citation) and had the citation charged by the DA in criminal court. Then he shows up and pisses off the judge and gets booked into the jail for contempt of court and had pot in his posession which he brought into the jail at booking.

Needless to say, they threw the book at him. He ended up on 2 years supervised probation after serving 30 days in jail (on a 45 day sentence) and $1200+/- fine, then about 6 months later, he violated probation and went back to jail, there he got into a gang fight (he was a gang-banger after all) that landed him in the Q (San Quentin State Prison), where he sits today.

So, use a whistle tip.. go to State Prison! :rofl

That is a story with a happy ending :laughing
