my hand built xj500t bellytank triple kawi

Hey kevin no wories man i thank you for the care man i realy do thats not smart on my part

Oh Jay, I have a complete VFR single side swingarm assembly that would look way cool on your next project...:cool

X-RATED- A.K.A AWSOME

VERY NICE,:nerd but where will the fuel tank be?the first(and worst)HONDA NSR 500 tried the same chamber routing and they did what to most would think the obvious choice of putting the tank under the motor, but that failed miserably because they found it would not turn. The quote from the Colin Mckellar book HONDA GP RACERS'it was not understood at the time that the heavy weight underneath the (CoG) center of gravity would seriously impair the ability of the rider to turn the bike around the axle formed by the CoG.' These were pretty large tanks though....custum tank over the top maybe? chambers don't get as hot as ex pipes but still:(-any way just wondering what your thinkin'.I wish I could weld like those I see on your chambers-WOW:thumbup

I dont think OP is to worried about GP speed turning and handling lol

I fucking love the bike myself.

TRUE HOT RODS

That bike is a true 'special' and he has actually completed it too-there is no way you can think ferrinwell is in any way disrespecting my mans sick ride.I was BANNED for calling a spade a spade and when I returned weeks later and picked up the thread I got so jacked on the project I got ahead of myself. My 500 v4 2-stroke with adjustable motor positioniing, self made/figured titanium mounts ,handbuilt chambers, ohlins f+r,in a legendary chassis that I first registered/consummated way back in 2000 is my masterpeice.I'm a craftsman and a special builder not a typer, but understand that I always have felt among freinds here. sorta' kinda'

JUE GOT IT MAYNE'-TONY MONTANA:cool[/I]

ferrinwell
All good my freind and all good Q's
when I built the bike I wasn't aware of the Honda but had I known before
hand it wouldn't have changed my thinking.I am not an engineer
but i have a good understanding of what works and what doesn't and I trust that understanding completely.one of the benefits of doing everything my self [design, fab, machining, welding.paint, engine, electrics, and testing]
which it looks like you are aware of is... if something
doesn't work I can simply change it .
The bike was built to ride on tight twisty Mt roads
with corner speeds of 30 to 70 mph and top speed of about 100 mph and is
geared for that.Their is nothing legal about the bike no plate no lights no
silencers [outlaw] no long distance intention at all .I just take it out in the
hills that i live in for 30 minutes of insane fun and noise then put it
away that's it.the end result is pleasing for sure their are some things that will be different on the 750 which I plan to build.
It will be street legal with a larger fuel tank and a full fairing.other than that it will be the same thanks for the replies

I would like to see some Pict's of the bike your building sounds Bitchen .
again thanks for the intrest and have a nice day
