Didn't make it down to Monterey for the tank today but, the new and very costly cables, (front brake, throttle/oil pump). Handlebar controls (including levers) and new hand grips showed up via international mail. Also included was a new ignition cover and a cool plate holder for out back. :ride

Got the tank back today and mounted the new (re-production) front fender. Only waiting on the rear fender, tail light lens and chain guard. Then she is totally done !

That looks awesome.

Amazing! Will you street register it? Will it be for sale?
Thanks !

Street registered ? Of course !
I have Personalized California plate number, "71 MT1" already on order !!
For sale ? Humm... no thanks.
It turns out, this is the most collectible and rarest of the MT/KV75 series.
The Parnelli Jones version was only for 1 year, but what make this particular one more special is the low mounted external fork spring.
By mid August 1971 production changed over to a slightly different design with the spring higher, and more chrome fork leg bottom showing. Not a big deal as far as any performance gain, just that they made fewer of the one I have.
