Sprocket wear

My $.02- this is not a place to experiment with lightweight or cheap components on a street bike. Not only is the weight difference practically immeasurable in performance, that chain jumping and sticking between the swingarm and sprocket could cost you everything. You got away with it once, just buy a quality brand next time.

While some might get more miles, 10k on a high performance bike is a lot. Especially a single piston bike. So many teeth are broken, it’s amazing you didn’t feel the chain skip.

There is no reason to use other than steel sprockets unless you are a near pro racer.
 
That is a steel sprocket!

And now everyone has a good example that all steel isn't created equal.
 
This appears to be a sprocket alignment problem where the rear is not in alignment with the front. There are a number of ways this can happen. Nothing to do with the metal itself.
