I heard from a VERY credible source there was serious talk of discontinuing Drags and drifts on Wednesday night.

That would suck big time. They did eliminate all the weekend drags except for NHRA. You would think they would want a place to keep people off the streets...

Well, that's a crock of shit.

I have you to thank for introducing me to drag racing... I used to think it was easy until I went out and tried it!

I've been debating to build a bike or a car (I started watching that clown cleetus and also moore mafia on youtube) to get my kid into it too.

I guess I better show up some more this year before it's another usta-could in the Bay Area.
 
Not sure if it still stands but it used to be you had to have a Wednesday night type program in order to get NHRA national events. Hope this still stands.

Seriously they don't make money doing the drag racing over the road racing? There's got to be 100+ cars sometimes.

The 2021 season of Wednesday Night Drags is just one week away! Are you ready to burn some rubber?
Anyone with a driver's license can compete, providing their vehicle or motorcycle passes a simple technical inspection. Vehicles on a typical Wednesday Night range from Corvettes and Mustangs, to minivans and pickup trucks. All gas-propelled vehicles must have mufflers. Almost any type of street-legal vehicle is eligible to run on the drag strip.
Due to weather conditions, events on 3/17, 3/24 and 3/31 will be 1/8 mile. All other events scheduled will be contested over the standard 1/4 mile distance.

Hmm looks like I'm gonna bail this week I signed up to test drive that new VW ID4 don't think I'll have time to head down after. Have fun while try to make it out next week. Looks like it's going to be pretty cold hopefully warms a next week.

Cool enjoy the test ride. Not thrilled myself about going this Wednesday either. We just bought a 2018 VW Tiguan.
