This isn’t even about the politics forum. His bigotry happens here in the normal sink too. And it’s not even thinly veiled.

I am not familiar with the posts you are referring to, but I would hardly call a civil response to questions a, "benefit of the doubt cheerleader."

It was not I who called upon you for actions, it was you who called upon me.

I respect you as a member of this community, but you have failed to give me cause to cast another out or choose to pit my voice against him.

What do you want me to do other than quote his post history that, so far, you've considered not to be noxious, as you put it? I could do that but you've read it all, assumedly, and you still don't see it. Do you want me to pick some highlights?

He has had every chance to play the card of learning a new culture, asking for perspective and enlightenment on American culture he is unfamiliar with, which was fine in the beginning. But has shown zero learning from discussions, and continues to shit on various demographics of people with the same bigoted rhetoric he's always expressed.

Maybe you don't see it because one of the demographics he shits on doesn't include you. I know that's probably not the answer because I know you in the BARF community, so I'm confused why you're giving the benefit of the doubt to someone that has been given it time and time and again and proven he does not deserve it anymore. Unless you want to play the 'fool me once, fool me twice' game.

No, I really haven't read it all. I think you overestimate how much attention I pay to people. I don't even typically pay much attention to all the posts in a given thread, just the ones that interest me. Usually those are the ones with incorrect data or poorly structured logic models or the ones that are funny.

I prefer the ones that are funny.

If you have some selective quoted tidbits you think I should take exception to, I would love to see them and will review them with an even eye, if you provide links, I will click them and see.

I do not mean to dismiss you out of turn, but neither do I take the dismissal of others lightly.

If that is the truth with the person in question, then your insistence to question the opinion of those, not just mine, that have read most of his bullshit starts to become insignificant. You don't have all the facts, which is fine to be inquisitive and you're asking. But even what you've seen, the level of playing neutral Switzerland, that's your own lack of information. (Which is why you asked, fine.) But he's said enough, which concerns me why you're still on the fence.

It's not my intention to attack you. But now you're coming off as speaking to those that have read most of his bullshit (I read most of BARF, as many do, it's not like I'm trying to make a detective's file against him) and know the fucked up things he says and gets a pass sometimes as 'cultural differences' or whatever in any given thread.

You need to realize, even some of our moderators have issues with his posts that are intolerant and bigoted and say so publicly, not private discussion in the mod think tank.

I do recall that one. I am not saying he has not said whatever things it is you find upsetting, I honestly remember DH's statement there, but I don't even recall specifically what he wrote that it was a reference to.

He’s been shitposting since day 1. Hell - at first I thought it was a sophisticated bot. I don’t think it’s a bot anymore but I still believe the intentions are bad.

Very little motorcycle content and mostly just throwing out grenades to stir the pot, then walking away.

I’d have banned them a long, long time ago. Can’t really make the argument that their influence here has been anything but negative.
 
Well he has certainly garnished a great deal of attention for himself here on da BARF. Seems successful in joining and participating in our community. Only issue that I see is just how consistent he is at highlighting many negative aspects of our society. Beginning with criticism of other cultures, specially American culture opens the door for a negative vibe.

Appears to be engaging appropriately with his opinions and responses and all I see from the "he's a troll" club are attacks on him personally. But yet....he's the dirt bag? Don't like HIM, then don't respond to HIM or HIS thread. But yet you all just go on and on and on and on about how terrible he is, not even remotely on topic.
