I'd guess the claim he went camping might have been a red herring to cover him running for the Mexico border.

It's a good thought that he'd save the taxpayers money and offs himself, but he seems too selfish to do that. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Yeah, I'm betting it's much more likely he's hiding than killed himself. Wasn't Scott Peterson found near the Mexican border with disguises and dyed hair?

I predict the autopsy will confirm a homicide. I predict there will be enough evidence to tie Laundry to the crime. And I predict he will be located and caught.

I doubt he’s the sort of dude that could manage a life in the run. Else he’d have headed to Mexico from the start instead of first running home to mom.
Hopefully he’s caught alive and faces the what’s coming.
 
He'll say she tripped and fell accidentally, then he freaked out and took off.

Might be tough to prove 1st degree murder.

We'll have to wait and see.

The police will confirm the text sent regarding Yosemite pinged off a tower in Wyoming, probably not far from where the body was found. They will also confirm Laundry's cell phone was either pinging from the same tower, or had been uncharacteristically turned off just prior.

My theory is in his panic he typed “Yosemite” instead of “Yellowstone”. Hard to think when you got your fiancé’s blood on your hands. Instead of assuaging the parents he set off alarm bells instead.

Going dark on short notice is extremely difficult for most people if for no other reason than resources. Even if you are prepared, most people will not be able to easily access the large stash of cash required.

Even if you have an exit pack stored at home just in casers, if you are out on vacation when something goes down, you would need to go home to get your exit pack.

Most people do not have a significant investment in crypto and crypto can be challenging to turn into cash quickly. Going off sheet requires a lot of cash transactions unless you have a really good fake Passport set up, like a nice BNO paper.

You need cash.

Probably not unless the FBI asked for it. Local authorities have pretty much zero ability to ask BPA's to hold him unless he has committed a Federal Crime or is suspected of committing a Federal Crime. Even if he is a suspect, they best they can do is put a temporary hold on him while they wait for the locals to come pick his ass up with an arrest warrant. If they don't have enough of a case to arrest, not much you can do.

His best bet would have been to try and leave the country through the border from a different State.

Even so, if he doesn't have a fake passport, they will know where he went, which still makes it pretty hairy if they care about tracking him.

A single domestic homicide isn't something that the Feds are going to worry too much about squeezing the Federales to find for them. A flyer will go out and if he pisses off the wrong local authority, he might get pinched, but as previously stated, I doubt this cat has his act together enough to get there.
 
May they hold that entire sicko family responsible. Hopefully the boyfriend has killed himself.
 
I also imagine those Moab officers are torturing themselves tonight. Seeing the FBI agent trying to hold it together really illustrates the humanity that can exist within the LEO ranks.
