Our cats never eat off our plates when we are done.

Last night though a little head popped up over the coffee table and snatched the piece of turkey skin I had set aside.

Evidently Loki likes turkey skin and now we have to be on guard for the little ninja.

Thing is it had quite a bit of non salt seasoning on it.

Didn't matter.

Me and the old man are having a bit of a lie in while I enjoy my coffee...

I envy you your spacious bed! We definitely need a bigger bed now, but that means bigger bedroom, which means bigger house, which means I'm never going to have a bigger bed :laughing

All 6 of us in a queen bed every night...

We have to be on guard 24/7 with Mercer around. Doesn't matter what it is or where it is...he wants it. I was transferring mayo from the big jar to a small container for the camper van fridge, and dropped a blob of it on the counter. Before I could put the container down Mercer had his face in it. I set the bread down, turned to get a Zip-Loc out of the cabinet, and his head was in it. He's fast and sneaky, and doing anything related to food in the kitchen is a 2-person job now. One person to do the thing that needs doing, and one person to guard the food and wrangle Mercer.

 I can barely tolerate Merlin alone on our Cal King. There's plenty of room but he prefers to sleep on, or in between, my legs. My theory is legs feel like tree branches that cats like to sleep on in the wild.

Nyx and Merlin vying for position to see what's lunch for them. (hint: it's always cat food.)

Digby and Buster are the first cats we've had that don't sleep on our bed. They sleep in our family room; Digby sleeps in the baby carriage and Buster sleeps in the cat tree hammock. I like it.

Of course when you try to make the bed...

I don’t allow my cats in my bedroom. They’d argue something awful and it’s my room, dammit. :x

My girl kitty is passed out. IMG_0585.jpegIMG_0587.jpeg

We've had a Cat Mate, two bowl feeder for close to 10 years. It's been robust and works great. Swap out the AA battery every year on Jan 1.

It has a small ice pack that keeps the wet food fresh.

We can tell when there's been a scheduling conflict when the feeder is knocked aside and askew.

One time, the cat pushed the feeder under a dresser, so even when it opened, they couldn't get to the food. We felt terrible. So, don't let that happen.

The new ones offer stainless steel bowls which are nice, our original ones were plastic.

Did you know that cats can be allergic to plastic? Our kitty ended up with acne around their mouth. Swapping to stainless steel bowls fixed the problem.
