I had to give my cat Ralston a bath once. He got lost, and holed up under an extremely funky greasy old car. We didn’t want him ingesting all that crap. It went much better than expected, thankfully.

If at all possible, I will never use a cone again. This thing is great! It was easy to put on, but of course she immediately flopped over, thinking she was in some sort of miniature straight jacket :laughing I grabbed her favorite string toy and she forgot all about it! She can eat, drink, pee and poop with no issue, and wore it overnight. We take it off when we're hanging out with her and can keep an eye on her so that she can give herself a bath. She hasn't tried to mess with her stitches, which is good.

She's 5.1lbs and wearing size 3XS, the smallest one they make. I think she is looking very cute, like a little Beat poet in her black turtleneck! 🖤 And tacticool! :laughing

Hopefully the ER will get poor Digby sorted as soon as possible 😿 Let us know how he's doing.

That’s going to be an expensive fix.

Been trying my best to cat proof my home of any hazards.
No elastic bands, no toilet seats left up, no small plastic tags or anything small that might be swallowed, no clothing or anything slippery left on top of stair railing that she could slip on and fall 15’ to the floor below, power bars switched off when not in use… Vet visits are not cheap and even if they were still don’t want to cause any unnecessary suffering.

We've always done the same. When we brought Mae home from the shelter 12 years ago the very first thing she did was "help" Eric pay his bills. He noticed his checkbook rubber band was missing and realized Mae had eaten it. He took her to the ER in Berkeley and they gave her something to help her throw it up.
And this is why we just spent 50 freakin' dollars on a locking garbage can for our kitchen.

And I know all about vet bills being expensive. I've been to the vet 9 times in the last 24 days for 3 different cats. More on that later when I find the energy to post up about it... 😾
