I just bought a PS5 and I need help.

Just a question for you gamers - how much time do you spend playing?
How often do you play?

Fortunately it's not much of an issue on console. IDK if call of duty has cross-play, but you can just turn it off.
There are lots of cheaters on consoles too. Only difference is that on consoles it's mostly aim lock and speed boosts for movement whereas PC has a whole lot more sophisticated cheats for Cod. If you play Ranked or Warzone BR, you will come across cheaters on every platform.

I played the last CoD mostly single player campaign and zombies. group kind of fell apart so stopped playing after a bit. I am middle of the road on PvP but its really not my speed unless playing with friends in a group.

There was a time when I would haul a CRT monitor and computer to a friends house for a rainy day Unreal Tournament and Starcraft bro down. An absolute orgy of consumption, shit talking, laughs, headshots and nuclear launches detected. Good times.

I miss early 2000's multiplayer/lan parties. Unreal Tournament, Half-Life, Counter-Strike when it was a Mod, Tactical Ops Mod for Unreal Tournament and Quake III Arena.

I tried multiplayer a while back and got SMOKED every time LOL

Gave up playing any kind of video game 20 or so years ago.

Too many buttons, not enough fun.

You all that enjoy it seem to be in another universe these days compared to those old low rez days.

My son in law has all the modern games and is an avid gamer and once in a while demos one for me and the video and audio are impressive.

Enjoy.

I'm waiting for my little sister's ex boyfriend to buy a second PS5 so he can sell it to me for super cheap.

This is how I got my PS3 and PS4. I don't need to stay current with games. Hell, I was playing Snake Rattle n Roll on my OG NES the other day. But I still felt it necessary to ask my sister if it was weird I'm buying a video game console from her ex. She says, "I don't give a fuck". They split on good terms and he was already my friend too when they started dating.

I can wait for PS5. There's still a backlog of PS4 games I want to get through before thinking about PS5. But I do watch most of my movies and shows through my PS4.

Unreal Tournament and CounterStrike: Source ate up a ton of my time in college I should have been studying. :laughing

Dude remember those days and the editing of autoexec.bat and other files to try and get the stupid NICs talking to each other over crossover cables. I still remember how awesome it was to see my dead flying body zip across my friends screen as I got nuked by a rocket from a cyber demon.

I like to think we're lucky to be in an age range where we know and played the old school games and the new. Somewhere in storage, I have an Atari and if I found it, I could play Frogger or Asteroids. Kids these days don't know what it's like when you lose, you go back to the very beginning. Ain't no fuckin save points.

Did you watch the movie 8-bit Christmas with Neil Parrick Harris of the story about his excitement for an NES? If you haven't, it's worth a watch.

NERDS GONNA NERD!!

Depends. Some games, I just need to get through and that's my time outside of work... other games? I enjoy playing Fall Guys but that's half an hour before I start wanting to punch babies.

Last night i was playing CoD Vanguard. I was able to get online and get killed 100X's. CoD is so much fun. Thank you guys for all of your help.
I can't do Call of Duty. Too many people have invested too much time into being really good.

That said, I used to be "that guy" with Counterstrike- Source... But that was back in 2004'ish. BOOM HEADSHOT
