I don't really understand all the griping about the Tech Pack, or KTM's approach. Sure, the bike without the Tech Pack might look more competitive on price, but a very small percentage of riders will skip it, and I think it should just be included with a higher base price. And the riders complaining are just being silly. Pay the money and move on with your ride. Or buy a less expensive bike. You will pay for those features one way or another, but KTM does seem to continue to botch the messaging around the tech pack.
I know several people who are hot on CF Moto, and for the money, they seem to be building good bikes. I don't doubt for a second that the 790 Duke is a kick in the ass to ride. But having ridden an RC390 made in India, personally, I don't want a Chinese or India KTM. I don't think it is necessarily a bad business move, since they are offering a lot of bike for the money with those models, and likely introducing a whole new demographic to KTM. But they aren't what I am looking for.
My 890SMT has the KTM-branded J Juan/Brembo brakes, which have been great. Would I prefer a full Brembo system? Sure, but I can't complain even a little about the brakes on my bike. I would be interested to hear more about how the WP brakes perform.
The 690 Rally/Adventure is seemingly just around the corner, and this has been on my wish list ever since I sold my 690 Duke. Exciting!
KTM’s “Adventure” models have become one of the brand’s defining pillars, but the latest machine spotted for the first time in near‑production trim suggests the Austrians are preparing to expand its rally-influence in their lineup. Captured near KTM’s headquarters in Austria by moto paparazzo...

I have all the BDR maps, and just read about the new Hells Canyon BDR that will be unveiled in August!
Set along one of the most remote stretches of coastline in the lower 48, the Lost Coast BDR-X map leads riders through Northern California’s wild, dramatic terrain.
