Long story short, our XC60 Recharge was totaled in an accident so we're looking for a replacement.
We are considering getting another XC60 PHEV but looking at other options.

Things we liked:
- Very comfortable seats
- Very efficient with great electric range
- Good size for our family of 2 legged and 4 legged passengers

Things we didn't like:
- Ate through tires
- Maintenance was very expensive
- Infotainment system was glitchy

TIA

Not sure what your budget is, but I end up here with how I read your post. Cheaper than this and I'm liking Outbacks or used GV80 Prestige Genesis, all on the slightly used market.

Consider also the cost of insurance.

As a side note, I haven't bought a brand-new car in a long time. New car prices are astounding to me, especially considering the rapid depreciation.

Two years ago I bought a 2018 Mercedes E300 with 48,000 miles and paid $25,000 for it. The window sticker in the glove box showed the new price as $61,000.
The car has been flawless.
Point is you don't have to put out $60K+ for a quality vehicle.

Turbo 'Busa FTW

...c'mon, this is BARF after all!

On a serious note, I can't help you with EVs...but if dino-powered is in the cards, we've been really happy with our Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness Edition. Given your additional 2- and 4-legged passengers, I'd think the Outback or Forester would be solid choices. I really dislike the redesign this year, but that's all subjective.

What year was your XC60 and what kind of service did it need? Always been interested in those, as well as the XC90

We're looking at CPO options. Not really a fan of Mercedes. Maybe a Lexus NX or RX? Acura's are nice cars but the controls and infotainment are very busy.
In terms of price I would be happy finding something under $55k or even $60k
