Hi moto friends,
New(ish) rider looking to go places on my '23 R3.

I'm freeway riding for my work commute to and from SF-EB but haven't gotten much free riding in yet because I don't really no where to explore. Any suggestions?

There are some threads around here that have a lot of info.

Santa Cruz Mountains, the Coast both north and South and the east bay hills have some fun spots too.

Welcome! You have great riding all around you, you can go north, south, east...can't go west too far.

North - Highway 1, Stinson Beach, Pt. Reyes Station, Tomales, etc. Also Mt Tamalpais, Bolinas-Fairfax Road, Lucas Valley Road, etc.
South - Skyline Highway 35, 84, 9, and all the little backroads in between.
East - Skyline, Wildcat, Redwood, etc etc.

And don't forget the ultimate twisty roads, we have some awesome racetracks to ride, Sonoma Raceway, Laguna Seca, Thunderhill East and West!

Try riding in the North Bay
West Sonoma County has lots of nice rides.
The ride to Point Reys has great pavement best during the week and without fog…
Tomales has a nice place to stop. Lots of bikes there on Sunday mornings.

i am in walnut creek as well, marsh creek is close and fun and of course mt. diablo for some more technical and slower paced fun

Low Sierras are nice as well. Such as here in the Auburn area.

A ride over the Auburn-Forest Hill Bridge to Sugar Pine Lake down the Iowa Hills to Colfax will be a nice ride.
