and the rs

GS is good if you are tall or want a more upright position compared to the R or RS

It's the RS, the "S" is semi-obscured / obfuscated on the fairing. Also has the Tall windscreen. Pretty sure the Triple Black option isn't available on the "R".
Looks like it has some other stuff too, Tour Package - padded passenger seat, side case luggage racks, NAV device and possibly the 719 Option wheels.
Next time I'm out there I'll take a closer look.

Is that an R or an RS. All the body work suggests RS, but the sticka says R and that pegs look lower to be more R-ish than RS-ish.

Boy that's sexy. Wonder if I should trade mine in for that instead of a GS...
R has no fairing.

So I was off by a mere two years....just at a glance.
Not bad for a Suzuki guy. :laughing
(like many, I've had an ongoing closet love affair with those bikes)
I have 2 VFR’s a 96 & 97 both are in great shape.
Suzuki guy as well … original owner of 2004 SV 650 purchased in Santa Rosa 50 K miles and counting

I did a better job dodging the potholes on my second time through Forest Road 1 and Berry Summit. But on the first time through, I hit one or two pretty hard. I was marvelling at how much suspension I was accessing, but it came at the cost of a bent rim. Oh well, it was getting dirty anyway.
